I met my 3 irish men over a beer in Chamonix on sunday, and after a rock-climbing morning on monday, we hiked up to the mountain hut "Albert 1er", in Chamonix Valley.
Tuesday was a perfect sunny day to be on top of a beautiful mountain.
Glacier hiking and scrambling our way up to the summit took us about 4 hours, so we could stand early in the morning on the top of l'Aiguille du Tour, 3542 meters high, enjoying the view over Switzerland and all the Mont Blanc range.
Going down was an affair, but the beers at the bar in "le Tour" village were worth it!!!
